Hes here!!!

Sorry everyone for the lack of an update! As of right now, Noah is 2 weeks and 2 days old. Hes is absoultely wonderful. I cant imagine how he could be more perfect. I guess I should start at the begining of the story.

On Saturday, January 17th, Keith and I had lots of errands to run, and Diane wanted to buy us a recliner for Noah so we needed to go pick one out. We went all over Greenville that day looking at recliners and picking up last minute stuff in preparation of Noah. We left our house at 10am and started out at Jeff Lynch looking at recliners, then went to Ashley Furniture, then the Rooms to Go, then back to Jeff Lynch were we made our decision. After we picked up the recliner we went to Target and returned some items, then went to Marshalls home store, then to Dicks sporting goods. After all that walking we went to our favorite BBQ place in town.. Bucky's. I told them I really hoped that the BBQ would be the thing that put me into labor. We finally got home around 6 or 7pm. Keith was working a side-job at a bar that night, so he left home around 9:30pm. I went to bed, and I kept getting up to go to the bathroom, I was feeling so much pressure, but I thought it was just the normal "I have to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes" feeling. Around 2am I woke up with even more pressure. I looked to my left to see Keith wasnt home yet, and at that time I felt a pop. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom where my water broke.

At this time, I had the exact same feeling as when I found out I was pregnant. I was sitting in the exact same spot. It was that scared, nervious, excited feeling. I sat there a minute and then I ran to the bedroom and called Keith. I remember saying... "I think its time to go to the hospital... wait i know its time, my water just broke." Thank the Lord he was already on his way home. With in 10 minutes of my water breaking the contractions started. I wandered around the house franticly putting the last of my things in our bag, and waiting on Keith to arrive to take me to the hospital.

Once he got home, we were out of the house by 2:30am. In a rush, we ran out the door. Keith was driving pretty fast, and my contractions were getting stronger and stronger. I had never felt anything like this before. I was becoming scared. I was very quiet the whole way to the hospital. We were half way there when we flew by 2 police cars that had 2 other cars pulled over. I looked at Keith and told him to slow down that we would be next to be pulled over, about that time we topped a hill and there he was ready to pull us over. Keith went a head and pulled over and waited on the officer to come to the window. I couldnt not believe this! The one time we get pulled over is 2:45 in the morning when I am in labor. The officer (which Keith didnt know) came to my window, and Keith showed him his badge and said Sir, I normally wouldnt do this, as you can tell my wife is in labor and we are on the way to hospital. The officer told us to go a head. He was really nice.

We finally got to the hospital around 10 til 3am. We went into this room where the nurse took my blood presure, checked to see how dilated I was, and got all my information. I was at 4cm to 4.5cm at that time. We left that room, and she took me into the room where I would deliver Noah. We hadnt been there long, when they were asking if I wanted an epidural. The whole pregnancy I said I didnt want one, and I didnt. Well, an hour had past and she checked me again and I was at 7cm to 8cm. She told me that if I was going to take an epidural I had to make my decision. I went a head and took one. By the time the doctor was finished, giving me the epidural I was at 10 cm, and ready to push. I couldnt believe that everything was so fast! I began pushing around 5am or so. I pushed for right at 3 hours. I know! After about 2 and half hours of pushing my doctor came in and told me that we might want to try to vaccum him out since it was taking to long, and if it didnt work he would want to do a c-section. In my mind, i was thinking theres no way that i have made it this far and letting them do a c-section. 3 pushes later with the vaccuum Noah was here (8:13am).

The one thing that the doctors did not tell me right after is that in the process of the last 3 pushes, I had torn really bad. I believe that they called it a 4th degree tare. Which is as bad as you can tare.

Noah came out weighing 7lbs 12 oz and 20.5 inches long. I was a week and a half early. I have never experianced this amount of love for someone, and its hard to even describe. God truely blessed us with this perfect child.
