life

As most of you know, my wife and I are expecting our 1st baby. This life has given me many experiences so beautiful some dark, but none of the experiences has eclipsed the last few months, seeing a life develop is truly the 2nd greatest gift God gave to humanity. So live every moment as it were you last, love with unquenchable passion, and stand where others are afraid to go.

I finally did it!

So, I have been saying for a long time that I wanted to cut my hair. Well I finally did it. I cut about 7 or 8 inches off yesterday! It feels so great and lighter! I think it shocked Keith at first but its growing on him! :) One of the only symptoms I have had from being pregnant is my hair falling out. It has become alot thinner so I had to do something!!! So i cut it! I also thought that you guys would think the picture below was funny, it was taken when we took our youth group bowling about 2 weeks ago!!

Peyton Olivia Reid

As I type this right now, my sister is in the hospital in labor with my niece! I get overwhelmed with emotions thinking of how her life is changing and how God has blessed them with this precious little girl. Jessica went to the hospital this morning at 8am. Her due date was Friday November 7th, since Peyton didn't want to come on her own, the doctors decided to induce her today. I am hoping by the time i get off work Peyton will be here. Most of you know that my sister and I have one of the biggest rivalries of all times! I have always loved my sister more than anything in the world, but I am so excited for her. She taught me alot growing up and I am so excited for little Peyton to get to experience the mommying I got from my sister. She is going to be an amazing mother. I am also super excited that we will get to go through this journey together with Peyton and Noah. I will post pictures of miss Peyton once she arrives.

I went to the Doctor this morning for my sugar test. For you that do not know, this is when you go in and they make you drink this really sugary drink ( i compared it to the liquid you put in hummingbird feeders) Its really thick and just hard to drink. You have to drink the liquid in 5 minutes and they wait one hour and then check your blood sugar level. Good news - I passed!! I also found out I gained another 7 pounds and that little Noah is doing great. His heart beat was 140 today. I am not sure what he has been doing in my tummy lately but hes been moving ALOT!

A Picture of Perfection

I dont have many words to describe the pictures that i am going to post because I look at them and I am at a lost for words. Its just Amazing how God has blessed my family with someone so perfect. I have always loved this little someone in my belly, but last night when Keith and I saw his face, I just couldnt imagine how God could love us so much that he has blessed us this absolutly beautiful perfect baby.

It makes it real!

Yesterday We went to pick up the Nursery furniture with some help from our really good friends Scott, Angie and their baby boy Parker. I was so excited! This was a very important part of this experience for me. I know you guys know me and know that I want his room to be perfect just like it looked in in my head. We still have some things to do like hang pictures on the walls and stuff like that but to me it looks perfect. Last night after Keith and Scott got it all put together, I didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay in there forever. Once we were finished and our friends left, Keith and I sat in there as he read a story to Noah, everything felt right, and it started to feel so real. I couldnt be happier with life. Now the only thing missing is little Noah!

The Crib by its self!
The chester drawers and changing table/dresser.

Keith and Scott trying out the new furniture by changing Parker's Diaper. How many men does it take to change a 4 week old baby's diaper! hehe

20 POUNDS!!!

I went to the doctor last week and found out that I have gained a total of 20 pounds. I know alot of you out there is saying "you could stand you gain 20 pounds" or "20 pounds isnt that much... gained alot more than that when i was pregnant". I have heard it all. I have never in my life gained this much and its a shocker. I just couldnt believe it. Hopefully I will not gain another 20 pounds. Maybe I should cut out the Hotdogs, Cheeseburgers, and lunch trips to iHop for all you can eat pancakes! :)

ITS A BOY!!!

Well in the middle of September, Keith and I have found out we are having a Boy!!! We are super excited! His name will be Noah Riley Cothran! As if finding out we were having a baby didnt change our lives, when we found out it was a boy, it majorly changed our lives. At our last check up he was measuring big for his age, he was suppose to be 10 oz and he was measuring 14oz. Since then Noah has been kicking and swiming and having lots of fun in my belly. He always seems to be doing something in there, I hope that isnt a forecast for the future! :) Just as Noah grows I am too! At the alst appointment I had gained 5 more pounds so that puts me at 9 pounds all together which isnt that bad i guess. Hope everyone is doing well... I will update the pictures soon!

The begining

Keith and I are very excited about this Journey. We are even more excited that we have all of you to share it with. This baby is something that Keith and I have prayed for, for a long time and he or she is truely a blessing. As of today we are 15 weeks and 2 days; we are about 5 weeks away from finding out what the gender of our bundle of joy will be. During the first trimester I havent had many symptoms - which is also a blessing. I have been very tired, Keith says I've been very moody, and thats about it. I have had some cravings - well let me be honest - one craving - I have fell in love with Hotdogs. I can not get enough of them! Especially the ones from Skins. hehe So I must say that being pregnant isnt all that bad. My clothes have started to fit snugg and i have purchased 2 pairs of maturnity pants (which I love!)In the 2nd week of my Second Trimester things have continued to be very smooth. I am starting to regain some of my lost energy. We are going to try to keep this page up as much as we can - hopefully you will enjoy it as much as we enjoy tracking every step of this journey

hello

I started a blog at babysites.com and did not like it, so i will post the 2 blogs that i had started there from way back when! hehe
